Honeywell was selected by the Society of Hispanic Engineers to provide insight on the need for user experience. I was nominated by my organization to represent the Honeywell User Experience team at the annual SHPE conference in Kansas City, Missouri. The SHPE conference is primarily a networking event for young professionals seeking to enter the workforce in STEM related careers.
Too many apps, too little time. What makes an app standout? As the world transitions to the internet of everything and revolutionizes the way we live and work, user experience becomes more critical to maximize the power of connected and differentiate from the rest. For this talk, we will discuss principles of application design and how Honeywell’s User Experience teams embrace these principles to create differentiated products in the market.
The SHPE conference average age range is 18-25 years with a primary interest in STEM fields such as engineering. My goal was to distill the principles we utilize in our design organization into a relatable manner for this audience and then show then how we can apply those principles when creating digital products.
